                                                   ETHEL CRAIG
Contributed by her soror,  Mary Mason Young
ETHEL CRAIG, long time beloved member of the Tidewater Bridge Unit and the American Bridge Association , passed away on July 6 after a brief illness.  Even though Ethel was born in Plainfield , New Jersey, she spent most of her adult  life in Virginia Beach, VA.  After finishing Norfolk State, Ethel moved to Virginia Beach and remained there until a  few months ago when she moved to Chesapeake, VA.

Ethel was very active in her bridge club  and her community. In her bridge club she  served in many official positions , including President, Vice president and secretary, She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and belonged to New Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to travel and play bridge with her favorite partner, Delores Burney. One of her last tournaments was in Durham, NC , June 6-8,2008 , when she attended College View's Grade A tournament.

Ethel Craig, a quiet, congenial, and pleasant person who would always get the job done, will truly be missed in her community, sorority, church and the bridge world. She leaves to moan her loss, her only daughter, Sherria, one granddaughter, Keandra, and a host of friends and relatives.
